Maddie Graner
I am a student photojournalist based in the DFW area, with a passion for local and human-interest stories. My favorite stories to tell always involve working closely with the subjects to best tell their story through my work. I hope to deliver work that both the subject and I can be proud of. From profiles to events, I love anything that lets me learn more about my community and my audience.
I was a yearbook editor and photographer in high school, where I mainly covered stage performances and classroom events. I served as the Editor-in-Chief from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, I was awarded the NSPA Leadership in Student Journalism award. In college, I worked for three years in the University of North Texas Brand Strategy Department as a photography assistant, where I covered university events, organized faculty headshots, and managed the university photography archive. I have had my photography featured in the Denton Record-Chronicle, North Texas Daily, and various UNT publications. Iām hoping to work with magazines, event coordinators, and local news outlets to produce high-quality, engaging content!
