Analysis

I chose Vernon Adams because his fonts were less well-known but still widely used over the past decade. Google fonts like Pacifico, Anton, and Bangers have become synonymous with the basic, easily accessible decorative fonts most students utilize for classwork. His typefaces are bold and easy to read, which is an important aspect of type to remember that the more decorative fonts forget. In my design, I created a hierarchy through the size and placement of his name vs. the body copy with his information. Typography helped communicate my content by showing some of the fonts many people might recognize but not know the name of. I struggled with using font as a graphic element in this exercise, but I have used the issues I faced here to improve my work in other areas.
