Dream Sequence no.4 - Junior Music Composition major Collin Huffman conducts the ensemble as they rehearse Movement 3 of Variations on A Dream, a concerto written by Huffman and his fellow composition students Demetrius Robinson Jr. and Jilin Zhang. This concerto was comprised entirely of students, including a choir.
Snow Day Fun - University of North Texas sophomores Athena Fortunatti, Kacie Sprowl, and Felicity Juarez sled down a hill on campus, riding plastic bin lids from their apartment during Winter Storm Fern. Classes were canceled the following week due to low temperatures that kept the snow frozen.
College Dive Bar - University of North Texas graduate student Max Munguia shares a joke with his friends at Cool Beans on Fry Street. The Cool Beans patio, where Munguia sat, is a popular hangout spot for UNT students.
A Lively Conversation - At the Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery, featured artist and UNT Photography professor Dornith Doherty discusses her piece with UNT Metalsmithing and Jewelry professor James Thurman and his wife, fellow jewelry maker Umut Thurman. Doherty's piece, titled Pycnantha, is on sale at the gallery until March 21, 2026.
Music in the Sun - In front of the Courthouse on the Square, Denton resident and guitarist Colin Parr plays "Crappy Love Song" by Theo Katzman. Parr plays mostly cover songs.
A Moment of Reflection - In the Cora Stafford Gallery, gallery receptionist and UNT senior Lauren Grega views a piece featured in the 65th Paul Voertman Juried Student Exhibition. The piece was created by MFA Sculpture student Nadin Nassar, titled "razed ground".
Bit of Humor - At the PDNB Gallery's Texas Women Artists show, featured artist and UNT professor Dornith Doherty laughs alongside her husband as their conversation is interrupted. Doherty has won multiple awards for her work, including the UNT Eminent Faculty Award and the UNT Distinguished Research Professor Award.
Dream Sequence no.1 - In the Paul Voertman Music Hall, Music Composition junior Collin Huffman conducts the ensemble into a crescendo during dress rehearsal. Huffman co-wrote this concerto, titled Variations on A Dream, with fellow junior music composition students Demetrius Robinson Jr. and Jilin Zhang.
Campus Frozen Over - A University of North Texas student walks through the recently shoveled crosswalk at Highland Street on January 28, 2026. Denton received roughly 1.5 inches of snow, which remained frozen to the ground throughout the week.
Dream Sequence no.2 - Violinist Joseph Redding focuses on his bow as he plays Movement 3 from Variations on A Dream, a student-written and produced concerto. This movement was written by Music Composition major Jilin Zhang, representing hopes and dreams for success.
